EL YETI

Demo cover art

EL YETI is a Stoner Rock Band from Barcelona, Spain.

The members are:

Marc Rockenberg - drums, vocals
X-Wong - bass
Edko Fuzz - guitars, vocals

EL YETI are a young Stoner Rock Band making their way in the world. They have just released their excellent Demo for free download on BandCamp.

It's a 4 song release that runs for a superb 17 minutes or so. The Demo is a bit under produced but it shows what the guys do so well. Playing heavy monolithic riffs that pays homage to great bands past and present.

Their own description should tell you more that I could possibly ever do.

"El Yeti is a power trio (though the demo was recorded as a two-piece) formed in Barcelona (Spain) on 2011. We just finished our first demo, simply called "Demo". 4 songs dedicated to some of our favourite 80's action films such as Cobra, Commando, Die Hard or 48 Hrs...

Our music has already been described by some as a "powerful mix of Masters Of Reality and The Cult" or "COC meets Kyuss" thanks to the song "El Presidente" being featured in 2012's compilation of the prestigious Azkena Rock Festival (Vitoria, Spain). A festival in which has featured acts as Blue Cheer, Ozzy Osbourne, Orange Goblin, Black Label Society, Pentagram or Clutch."

El Presidente is a fucking brilliant song to rock the fuck out to. This is a brilliant song to put on a soundtrack in a low rate "B"-Movie action flick. As the song knows what it is and it doesn't give a fuck what anybody else thinks.

Just 4:10 mins of sublime Stoner Rock that will leave you with a big smile on your face. And the other songs are great as well. Especially 48hrs. An action packed track that shows these guys could have a bright future indeed.

I can't wait to see what they release next. If your into Clutch, Orange Goblin and Kyuss then your going to love these guys. So head over to BandCamp right now and get downloading. Or use this Mediafire Link which the guys kindly sent me. So much appreciated guys.

Highly Recommended.
