SolarBipolar cover art

Sunburster is a Sludge/Doom/Stoner Metal Band from Philadelphia, USA

The members are:

Mike Murro- Vocals
Jordan Berk- Guitar
Jason Dost- Bass
Jeff Barow- Drums

So Sunburster contacted me recently to check out their latest EP - SolarBipolar. I have done and it's fucking superb. No question. This rocks like a muthafucka.

Blazing riffs with great vocals to match. Sunburster are a band you cannot ignore. If you're a fan of High On Fire, Weedeater, Sleep, Kyuss and EyeHateGod then you're going to fucking love these. Team Member Heddbuzz is a huge fan of these guys as well. He recently featured them on his regular Vinyl Roundup Corner.

The EP may only be on for 13 minutes but it's a huge fucking loud and brilliant 13 minutes that Sunburster have laid down here. First track - War Torn - gets the atmosphere started with a blaze of loud heavy riffs you can instantly rock out to. Some NOLA riffs will keep you entertained through out.

Then the band get right down to proper business with the superb 2nd track - Candle In The Wound - a great track that shows how supremely talented these Sludge/Stoner Rockers actually are. A guitar riff of the highest order comes flying at you and it never lets up. Probably my fave track on the EP. There is no fucking about here folks. Just straight in your face Sludge/Stoner Metal to rock the fuck out to.

Sunburster leave the heaviest riffs for the excellent last song - Setting Sun. An almost 7 minute epic that will get your heart pounding. Listen to this track as loud as you can to get the full Sunburster effect. Mike sings his fucking heart out here. I am surprised he is still breathing after singing this one at full blast. Maybe it's the great riffs the band are laying down keeping him alive.

This EP is a fucking blast from start to finish. Download this now as it's available on Buy Now Download via BandCamp. If you wan't to buy the vinyl then buy it here.

Brilliant.
